About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Labor & Employment Associate with 3-6 years of experience providing advice and counsel to employers and handling single-plaintiff, complex, collective, and/or class action litigation and proceedings on their behalf.

Responsibilities

  • Work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Handle employment law litigation, with an emphasis on single-plaintiff, complex, and/or class and collective action matters, including court conferences, depositions, mediations, dispositive motions, and trials.
  • Advise employers on traditional labor, restrictive covenants, wage and hour law, leaves and accommodations, Title III, and other sophisticated employment law topics.
  • Provide recommendations and practical business solutions to clients.
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years’ high-caliber experience representing employers in various types of labor and employment matters.
  • Experience handling employment law litigation, with a preference for those who have handled court conferences, depositions, mediations, dispositive motions, and trials or who have wage and hour experience.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity and high emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent academic credentials and solid work ethique.
  • Stellar analytical skills and good judgment.
  • Admission to the New York bar is required; New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and/or Connecticut bar admission is a plus.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $305,000 to $350,000. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
