Our client is a premier, highly respected Labor & Employment defense boutique known for providing sophisticated legal counsel and aggressive advocacy to employers nationwide. The firm represents a wide range of clients—from mid-market enterprises to Fortune 500 corporations and public sector entities—across the full spectrum of labor and employment matters.
Responsibilities
- Draft compelling, strategic position statements and defend employers against EEOC, NLRB, and state/local agency administrative charges.
- Provide daily actionable advice to management and HR executives regarding workplace accommodations (ADA), leave policies (FMLA), wage & hour, disciplining/terminations, and overall statutory compliance.
- Assist with National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) matters, unfair labor practice (ULP) charges, labor contract administration, and collective bargaining support.
- Represent employers in labor arbitration hearings, grievance proceedings, and related labor & employment litigation.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of focused experience in labor and employment law (defense side strongly preferred).
- Proven track record drafting position statements for EEOC and state anti-discrimination agencies.
- Demonstrated familiarity with traditional labor law (NLRB practice and Taft-Hartley compliance).
- Solid mastery of FMLA, ADA, Title VII, ADEA, and related federal and state employment statutes.
- First-hand experience preparing for and handling labor arbitration hearings (preferred).
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in good standing in [State].
