Labor and Employment Lawyer with Wage and Hour
About the role
We are currently seeking a Labor & Employment Lawyer with wage and hour experience to have national responsibility for advice, counsel, and litigation management in the exciting world of emergency medical services. This Attorney will spend their time focused on wage & hour compliance, litigation, and supporting payroll functions and human resources. This role has a special knowledge and focus on wage and hour law. Experience with more complicated state wage and hour laws, benefits administration, and collective bargaining agreements is a plus. This is a high-profile position within the organization and no two days will look the same for this Attorney. Responsibilities
- Support payroll, human resources, and business operations to be compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws in the development of compensation strategy, integration of pay systems, and execution of pay practices.
- Conduct or oversee audits of pay practices, ensure accuracy of data, and provide guidance to correct wage and hour gaps.
- Stays current with wage and hour laws and regulatory requirements and communicates guidance proactively.
