ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, employment-related contracts, responsive pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Advise clients on state and federal labor and employment laws, including fair employment, wage and hour, labor relations, and leave laws.
  • Represent clients before state and federal administrative agencies and courts, including arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and assisting with case strategy, trial preparation, and other litigation matters.
  • Stay current on legal developments affecting labor, employment, and litigation, and provide creative, practical legal solutions that help clients achieve their objectives in complex, high-stakes matters.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ years of experience in labor & employment law, with meaningful experience handling employment-related litigation.
  • Excellent research, writing and drafting skills.
  • Proven ability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines and demands both internally and externally.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work full-time, including variable hours that flex with client needs.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Interest in a collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment with a strong desire to contribute to team and client success.
  • J.D. from ABA accredited law school.
  • Admitted or eligible for admission to practice in Wisconsin.
