Labor and Birth RN Residency

About the Role

Provide comprehensive nursing care in high- and low-risk obstetric settings, including Labor & Birth, OB ED, and High-Risk areas. Deliver hands-on patient care, monitor fetal well-being, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of OB hospitalists, anesthesiologists, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists.

Participate in simulation-based training, classroom education, and hands-on preceptorship to build confidence and critical skills. Ensure patient safety and comfort while maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios. Support new nurses through mentorship programs to foster professional growth.

Requirements

• 1+ year RN experience in Labor & Birth (new grads eligible for residency)
• Accredited nursing degree and current RN license
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS; additional certifications like RNC-OB or C-EFM encouraged
