Lab Project Coordinator
Job Summary
The Project Coordinator I provides administrative and operational support to the Project Management Team, serving as a key liaison between project management and sample receiving/log-in teams. This role ensures accurate project intake, documentation, and coordination to support successful client project execution. The Project Coordinator I also assists with scheduling, data entry, client communications, and cross-functional collaboration.
Job Duties
- Greet walk-in clients; provide basic drop-off instructions (bottles, labeling, turnaround time).
- Answer phones, route calls, take messages.
- General office administration tasks.
- Learn the lab’s common tests/services well enough to guide clients and direct inquiries correctly.
- Prepare/verify chain-of-custody (COC) paperwork and basic client documentation.
- Sample receiving/log-in: check labels, dates/times, preservation/temperature, paperwork; enter samples into LIMS, assign lab numbers, label/stage, refrigerate when required.
- Flag intake issues (missing info, wrong containers, hold-time/preservation problems) and escalate.
- Maintain front desk supplies/forms, sample containers, and a clean organized reception area.

Additional Information
Prior reception or customer service experience
Prior laboratory experience preferred
Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word
Pay Rate: $20/hour
