Lab Coordinator
About the role
The main function of this role is to perform a variety of routine laboratory operations. This position requires logging and setting up samples, working in the laboratory to gather results, and recording the results accurately in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The ideal candidate will collaborate with teammates to complete interdependent tasks and assist in troubleshooting challenges.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume data entry of customer and sample information into a LIMS.
- File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
- Respond to incoming correspondence, including email and phone messages.
- Receive and open sample packages.
- Perform light laboratory tasks as directed by senior staff, such as restocking supplies and routine cleaning.
- Store and dispose of completed samples.
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience is required.
- Skills: Prior data entry experience with high speed and accuracy, attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently and manage time effectively, proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, ability to keep information organized and confidential.
Qualifications
