Responsibilities
- Run samples and supplies to the lab and scan barcodes during retrieval and delivery.
- Track samples using the NIMS database.
- Aid in mixing chemicals and delivering them to chemists.
- Support the glassware washers, shipping, inventory, and pitch/pull/disposal teams.
- Train in all areas to provide coverage during team members' absences.
- Resolve client sample issues and manage internal customer inquiries and requests.
- Apply GMP/GLP standards in all responsibilities.
- Communicate sample information and discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
- Dispose of samples in accordance with SOPs.
- Unload morning trucks, handling customer samples and dry ice.
- Use pallet jacks and scanning guns for package tracking.
- Maintain the warehouse and ensure everything is current.
- Utilize Coupa for procurement tasks and respond to daily emails.
- Deliver lab orders and office supplies as needed.
- Change out bulk hazmat tanks.
Requirements
- High school diploma with 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment such as warehouse, logistics, or inventory management.
- Attention to detail and ability to document work under GMP regulations.
- Comfortable working independently and reliably with a sense of urgency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as familiarity with Coupa and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Essential Skills
- Experience with dock and inventory is a plus.
- Certification in IATA Dangerous Goods is advantageous.
- Knowledge of DOT Hazardous Materials is beneficial.
- Familiarity with GMP/GLP practices is preferred.
