Summary
The position is hybrid, with employees working both remotely and in the office on a formalized schedule. Location consideration is for Defiance Main, Defiance, OH.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinates, schedules, and delivers new-hire training, cross-training, and follow-up training as needed for employees.
- Assembles training materials, sends communications to supervisors, reserves and sets up training rooms, orders refreshments/lunch, pays invoices, and completes evaluations.
- Aids in the coordination, scheduling, train-the-trainer, and delivery of new offerings courses, including creating and assembling training materials.
- Enhances current training courses by cutting costs, refreshing content, and providing feedback.
- Maintains awareness of new product launches affecting the organization and educates oneself to deliver training effectively.
- Records and maintains classroom/workshop attendance records and completed "task" assignments in the online Learning Management System, and provides reports for management.
- Evaluates and follows up on employees completing training programs and reports to management.
- Conducts follow-up training upon special requests and documents results.
- Acts in an advisory role to new hire participants, conducting weekly check-ins, reviewing eLearning progress, and developing a plan with the new hire to ensure they stay on track.
- Maintains local training facilities, including equipment and supplies.
- Participates in ongoing development opportunities to research, increase, and improve knowledge of training industry, tools, and technology.
- Trains and advises new employees to understand WesBanco’s culture and the role they play in the department and bank as a whole.
- Demonstrates and models WesBanco’s pledge values and promotes high engagement during training.
- Maintains and submits updates and statuses of assigned projects and tasks to supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Other Requirements
- Ability to travel monthly, including several night stays and occasionally up to one week at a time.
- A valid driver's license and use of personal automobile required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.

- Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in a related field of study or 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of both education and experience required.
- Experience in training curriculum development or course design and/or facilitation preferred.
- Banking product knowledge, preferably in Retail Banking. Consumer Lending and Commercial Lending a plus.
- Experience presenting to groups of individuals preferred.
