Learning & Development Facilitator
About the Role
The Learning and Development Facilitator (LDF) supports the Academic Success Center (ASC) online initiatives focused on tutoring and digital media learning resources to increase student access. The LDF reports to the ASC Director and collaborates with ASC team members and tutors to design and develop multimedia content for the ASC website, social media platforms, and learning management system. This role also serves as a lead instructor for College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) tutor training (levels 1, 2, and 3) in both remote and face-to-face formats. The LDF partners with faculty and staff to create learning experiences that support retention and persistence efforts, requiring strong technical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall operations of online tutoring and learning resources for the Academic Success Center.
- Recruit, hire, supervise, onboard, and evaluate online student tutors.
- Support tutors and students using remote tutoring services, including evenings and weekends, by resolving technical and appointment issues in real time.
- Assist with oversight of daily ASC operations.
- Create, maintain, and oversee the production of educational digital media content (web, social media, learning management system) to support student learning and success.
- Develop and facilitate online workshops and learning experiences for students, staff, and faculty.
- Serve as co-lead instructor for the ASC’s CRLA tutor training program for all USF peer tutors in remote and face-to-face formats.
- Maintain CRLA program standards for certification.
- Participate in outreach initiatives with campus partners and represent the ASC at orientations and committees.
- Monitor and assess the impact of online tutoring and learning resources through surveys, usage tracking, and progress reports.
- Research literature and evidence-based practices to inform services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Curriculum Design, Instructional Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- One year of full-time work experience in a related position.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Four years of direct experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree per Florida Senate Bill 1310.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Two to three years of experience in higher education in a related position.
- Familiarity with Canvas or equivalent LMS.
- Knowledge of accessibility and ADA requirements for online course delivery.
- Previous management and/or supervisory experience.
- Experience with videography, video editing, photography, photo editing, social media, and graphic design.

Pay
Annual Salary: $62,553.00
