Kids Express/Urgent Care Seasonal APP (0.8)

Job Summary

The UC/KE Seasonal APP is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)/Physician Assistant (PA) with demonstrated leadership skills and clinical excellence as an Advanced Practice Provider. The position is a 0.7 clinical FTE and completes contracted hours between August 15th through May 15th of each fiscal year. The seasonal APP position allows the APP to pick up PRN shifts during the 12 weeks of summer if desired by the APP and based on unit needs. The Seasonal APP is a salary position and will be paid biweekly for the entire calendar year. If the Seasonal APP desires to pick up PRN shifts over the summer, then they will be compensated for those shifts biweekly.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Assesses patients’ health status using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Develops and implements treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an APRN or PA in the state of Ohio.
• At least one year of experience in advanced practice nursing or physician assistant.
• Strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures.

Pay

The Seasonal APP is a salary position and will be paid biweekly for the entire calendar year.

Schedule

The UC/KE Seasonal APP works full-time with hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
