APP (Urgent Care)

About the Role

Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by providing primary medical services at CHAS Health clinics. You’ll treat a diverse patient population across gender, age, ethnicity, and insurance status, delivering trustworthy, patient-centered, and attentive care to anyone who walks through our doors.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients to determine general physical condition.
• Perform physical examinations, minor procedures, and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines.
• Order or execute tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to gather patient information.
• Analyze reports and findings to diagnose conditions.
• Prescribe or recommend drugs, therapies, or other treatments.
• Order inoculations and vaccinations to immunize patients from communicable diseases.
• Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners for specialized treatment.
• Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention methods.
• Record and sign off on physical findings, plans, and prognoses in electronic charts.
• Report births, deaths, and outbreaks of contagious diseases to governmental authorities.
• Participate in provider staff meetings, peer reviews, and clinic quality initiatives.
• Support the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values in all duties.

Requirements

• Graduation from a Masters-level, accredited Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner school.
• Valid licensure in the state of practice.
• Secure narcotic prescription privileges.
• Board Certified or Eligible.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to secure credentialing through identified agencies (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
• BLS (CPR/AED) certification.
• Commitment to supporting a safe and respectful environment.

Physical Demands

Providers must be able to move around the facility between one-third and two-thirds of the day, as well as sit at a workstation or in patient rooms. Using hands occurs over two-thirds of the day, while reaching with arms occurs less than one-third of the day. Communicating is required over two-thirds of the day, with minimal climbing, stooping, or crawling. Lifting up to 10 lbs occurs about half the time, while lifting up to and above 25 lbs occurs only occasionally.

Pay

Compensation range: $121,000.00 - $188,514.00.
