Responsibilities

• Supports nurses, nurse practitioners, and physicians in delivering patient care
• Attends to the developmental needs of each patient
• Communicates effectively and accepts delegated tasks
• Reports relevant patient information appropriately and maintains confidentiality
• Complies with safety management policies to ensure a hazard-free environment
• Maintains a patient and family-centered experience
• Adapts to census fluctuations and meets evolving customer needs

Requirements

• GED or High School diploma
• 1 year experience preferred for medical assistants
• 1 year of customer service experience
• 1 year of healthcare experience, including documentation in an EMR

Certification

• CMA certification required

Training

• Medical Assistant training may be required by the manager

Department Specific Job Details

• Operating hours: 12p-8p seven days a week
• Closed: Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day
• Every third weekend requirement
• May require training at Main Campus, Huber Heights Urgent Care, and various Kids Express locations
• May require shifts to be filled at various urgent care and Kids Express locations based on staffing gaps
