About the Role

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE) operates 50 Area Technology Centers (ATCs) serving 115 local feeder districts. A state Area Technology Center (ATC) is a secondary state-operated school facility dedicated to offering state-approved four-course Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways within CTE program areas identified by the OCTE. This position is part of a dynamic CTE community focused on preparing Kentucky’s students for the careers of tomorrow through collaboration with business and industry partners.

The Carroll Area Technology Center in Carrollton, KY, seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable Carpentry Instructor to make a meaningful difference in students' lives. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a student-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

Education:

  • Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught; OR
  • Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught; OR
  • Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.

Special Requirements:

  • Must be able to acquire the personal national certifications applicable to the program area (A+ Cert, NCCER, ABC, AGC, ASE). Applicants can be hired without the needed certifications but must acquire them at the next available testing period.

Pay

$4,225.50 monthly

Schedule

37.5 hours per week
