About the role
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE) operates 50 Area Technology Centers (ATCs) serving 115 local feeder districts. A state Area Technology Center (ATC) is a secondary state-operated school facility dedicated to offering state-approved four-course Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways within CTE program areas identified by the OCTE. This position is part of the Kentucky Tech program and is located at the Logan County ATC in Russellville, Kentucky.
The mission of the Office of Career and Technical Education is to partner with districts, schools, families, students, business, industry, and communities to provide leadership and support to ensure success for each and every student.

Responsibilities
- Teaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught; OR
- Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught; OR
- Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.
- Must be able to acquire the personal national certifications applicable to the program area (NCCR, ABC, AGC). Applicant can be hired without the needed personal certifications but must acquire the needed certification at the next available testing period.
