Kennel Assistant
About the role
Morgan Pet Clinic is seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team. This is a Part-Time position, with flexible scheduling options, and availability needed afternoons Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to boarding dogs and cats
- Feed, walk, and monitor pets for health and behavior changes
- Clean kennels and hospital areas as needed
- Aid the front desk by answering incoming calls
- Check boarding clients in and out
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience as a veterinary kennel assistant / kennel technician preferred
- Will consider related experience within animal care such as boarding / doggy daycare attendant, FFA or 4H background
- Punctual and reliable
- Desire for knowledge & growth in the veterinary field
- Willing to work holidays and weekends
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
Skills
- Knowledge of animal care and husbandry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
