About the role
This position supports the SharePoint Online (SPO) team within the AI/Data Analytics & Visualization ART. The Junior SharePoint Administrator will assist with the administration, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of the organization's SharePoint Online environment under the guidance of senior administrators.
Responsibilities
- Supports site provisioning, permissions management, troubleshooting, customer support, documentation, and platform maintenance for SharePoint Online.
- Communicates with customers, clients, and users of cloud-based and on-prem systems to enable a productive work experience.
- Administers and maintains SharePoint Online site collections.
- Configures, deploys, manages, and supports SharePoint Online and Power Platform areas of M365.
- Provides configuration recommendations to meet government requirements for secure and capable environments.
- Assists with data migration to SharePoint Online.
- Participates in testing SharePoint changes, updates, new functionality, and administrative processes before implementation.
- Engages in customer meetings, training sessions, and SharePoint support activities.
- Follows established governance, security, records management, and information management requirements.
- Operates in an Agile environment to meet the Navy's immediate needs.
- Extracts metrics and reporting using Power BI to produce executive-level reports on service consumption and usage.
- Documents actions and successes to demonstrate progress toward goals.
- Builds executive briefs to explain technical progress and potential issues to audiences with varying technical knowledge.
- Coordinates with stakeholders to schedule meetings and appointments.
- Communicates complex business information to technical audiences and complex technical information to business audiences.
- Troubleshoots issues with SharePoint Online and the Power Platform in secure computing environments with limited tools and capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience building sites and using web parts to create visually appealing pages for user consumption.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and configuring SharePoint Online to securely support such content.
- Minimum Secret clearance required.
