Junior Computer Operator - Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
Responsibilities
- Continuously monitors and responds to operating and error messages of equipment storage devices, printers and control panels
- Sets up and runs diagnostic tests and reacts appropriately to the messages and reports errors or machine malfunctions as required
- Maintains production records
- Replenishes specified stock items
- Distributes output materials
- Works with multiple systems
- Performs additional duties as assigned
- Candidate must possess a Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one
- High School Diploma with 4 years’ experience; OR associates degree with 2 years’ experience in a related field; OR a Bachelors degree (or higher) in a related field with no experience
- Experience in various HPC Systems and various HPC Technologies
- Knowledge of Cray/Cray Ex, IBM, SGI, Penguin, or customer architecture
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Linux variants operating systems (OS)
- Experience with InfiniBand (IB), Intel Omni-Path interconnects
- Experience with Portable Batch System (PBS), Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management (SLURM), or IBM Platform Load Sharing Facility (LSF) schedulers
- Experience with Intel Xeon, AMD EPYC, or ARM CPUs
- Experience with Nvidia graphic processing units (GPU)s
