Junior and Mid-Level Patent Litigation Associate

About the role

Fenwick & West is seeking junior and mid-level associates for its high tech and life sciences patent litigation practices across multiple offices including New York, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Silicon Valley, and Seattle. Ideal candidates should have between one to six years of patent litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in federal court and before the USPTO in post-grant proceedings
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
• Adopt innovative strategies to achieve successful outcomes

Requirements

• Superior academic credentials
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
• One to six years of patent litigation experience
• Prior experience in high tech or life sciences fields is preferred but not required

Qualifications

• Barred in the state of the office they are applying for or eligible to sit/waive into the next bar exam

Pay

The anticipated range for this position is $235,000 - $390,000 depending on the role, the actual base salary offered may depend on various factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
