About the role

This position supports Jacobs’ Business Development leadership in the Northeast U.S. by maintaining data in internal reporting tools and collaborating with Business Development and Technical staff to produce strategically focused, professional internal and external documents and marketing materials. The role offers the opportunity to learn and help implement sales strategy while gaining experience in critical sales functions.

The ideal candidate is organized, accountable, inquisitive, and able to meet fast-paced deadlines while following through on commitments. This role operates in a hybrid model, requiring in-office work two days a week at the nearest Jacobs office.

Responsibilities

  • Search for RFQs and RFPs on external digital eProcurement platforms, distribute them to internal stakeholders, manage and distribute addenda, and upload electronic proposal documents back into the platform.
  • Enter and manage data in multiple tools and systems critical to sales processes and reporting requirements.
  • Provide marketing support to the geographic sales team by interviewing staff to draft project win or new hire announcements for LinkedIn, the Jacobs external website, and other platforms.
  • Coordinate and develop sales documents such as Task Order proposals, including content creation, and interface with project managers, graphic designers, and desktop publishing staff across time zones.
  • Use critical thinking to read complex documentation, synthesize data, and determine next steps for action.
  • Proofread and edit technical and non-technical documents for accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist sales leadership with routine activities, including:
    • Gathering information from staff and drafting internal reports.
    • Collecting and analyzing sales statistics and developing timelines, tables, graphs, and presentations.
    • Preparing PowerPoint presentations, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes.
    • Setting up meetings in Microsoft Teams and entering information into Microsoft Excel files.
  • Assist client account managers and sales leads with preparing internal documentation, including:
    • Project descriptions for sales use.
    • Gathering and publishing client quotes.
    • Updating project team members’ master resumes.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience, preferably in the Architectural, Engineering, or Construction industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business, or technical fields (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Salesforce for data management (preferred).
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications (preferred).

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $80,000.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
