About the role
The Journeyman Communication Strategist and Organizational Change Management (OCM) is responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that support organizational change initiatives. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and a deep understanding of organizational dynamics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans to ensure clear and consistent messaging across all departments.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis to identify key audiences and tailor communication strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate dialogue and gather feedback on proposed changes.
- Manage internal and external communications, including press releases, newsletters, and presentations.
- Evaluate communication effectiveness through surveys and other feedback mechanisms.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in communication and OCM.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Organizational Behavior, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with change management methodologies such as Kotter’s 8-Step Model.
- Knowledge of public relations and crisis communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
