Joes Counter Attendant

About the role

Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for a dedicated Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving food and beverages to members and guests promptly and with a smile. You'll be a key player in ensuring smooth operations by maintaining clear communication with team members and other departments.

What You'll Do

• Deliver enthusiastic, prompt, and positive service to all members, guests, and employees
• Regularly replenish stock items as needed
• Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks as directed by your team lead, supervisor, or manager
• Prepare espresso drinks and smoothies to our high standards
• Make deli sandwiches and hot items such as hot dogs, pizza, and pretzels
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions efficiently
• Practice proper sanitation and food handling procedures at all times
• Complete opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
• Follow all club safety policies and procedures, demonstrating safe work practices
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid Food Handler's and OLCC (18 and older only) card mandatory
• Prior experience in a similar environment (coffee shop, sandwich shop) preferred
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
• Strong understanding of the menu to answer questions from members or guests
• Excellent customer service and decision-making skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, members, and employees
