About the role

The Multnomah Athletic Club is more than just a sports hub; it's a vibrant community offering diverse amenities and services. Seeking a Lead Counter Attendant for Joe's Restaurant to provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food and beverages promptly and with a smile
  • Maintain clear communication with team members and other departments
  • Ensure accurate transactions and membership verification
  • Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards, including dishwashing and waste disposal
  • Restock supplies, rotate products, and communicate with the kitchen team regarding inventory
  • Follow safety policies and proper food handling procedures
  • Complete opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
  • Maintain equipment and supplies to prevent damage or waste
  • Serve alcohol responsibly in compliance with OLCC guidelines
  • Demonstrate reliability through regular attendance and adherence to timing standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Possession of a valid Food handler’s and OLCC (18 and older only) card mandatory
  • Prior experience in a similar environment (coffee shop, sandwich shop) preferred
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, reach, twist, and lift at least 20 pounds regularly & climb stairs required
  • Excellent customer service and decision-making skills
  • Ability to operate point of sales system, professional cooking equipment including knives, espresso machine, blender, and ovens
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, members, and staff
