About the role
The Multnomah Athletic Club is more than just a sports hub; it's a vibrant community offering diverse amenities and services. Seeking a Lead Counter Attendant for Joe's Restaurant to provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and beverages promptly and with a smile
- Maintain clear communication with team members and other departments
- Ensure accurate transactions and membership verification
- Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards, including dishwashing and waste disposal
- Restock supplies, rotate products, and communicate with the kitchen team regarding inventory
- Follow safety policies and proper food handling procedures
- Complete opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
- Maintain equipment and supplies to prevent damage or waste
- Serve alcohol responsibly in compliance with OLCC guidelines
- Demonstrate reliability through regular attendance and adherence to timing standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Possession of a valid Food handler’s and OLCC (18 and older only) card mandatory
- Prior experience in a similar environment (coffee shop, sandwich shop) preferred
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, reach, twist, and lift at least 20 pounds regularly & climb stairs required
- Excellent customer service and decision-making skills
- Ability to operate point of sales system, professional cooking equipment including knives, espresso machine, blender, and ovens
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, members, and staff
