Job Developer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• On-site, day-to-day supervision of programs, services, and activities funded directly through SYEP.
• Act as liaison to worksites.
• Work with the SYEP Program Director to insure prompt and accurate submission of enrollment, payroll, and evaluations of SYEP participants.
• Develop service learning base projects and provide career coaching and counseling.
• Supervise Administrative Assistant, Training Monitors, Site Supervisors and Work Readiness Facilitator and SYEP participants assigned to the SYEP office.
• Maintain oversight of SYEP activities including recruitment, registration, and collection of documentation, orientation, payroll, and program implementation.
• Create and maintain relationships with worksites and provide career coaching and counseling.
• Implement project-based learning experiences.
• Facilitate the participant payroll orientation.
• Co-facilitate weekly staff meetings.
• Conduct weekly individual supervisory meetings with staff.
• Monitor and review incident reports and inform DYCD of all incidents.
• Monitor and sign staff attendance sheets at the end of the pay period.
• Participate in DYCD SYEP Program Director’s meeting.
• Evaluate all staff at the end of the program.

Qualifications

• An associate degree, in related field; or minimum three years of related experience without formal education.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Youth Services; 2 years of minimum supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
