About the Role

We are seeking a locum tenens Psychiatrist for an ongoing inpatient coverage need in North Dakota. This opportunity offers a consistent 7 days on/7 days off schedule with an ASAP start.

Schedule

7 days on, 7 days off, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on a 24-bed inpatient psychiatric unit, including a 6-bed adolescent unit.
• Perform ER psychiatry evaluations and general hospital consultations.
• Utilize telemedicine for general hospital consultations as needed.
• Collaborate with another psychiatrist on a 7-on/7-off rotation, typically changing over on Thursdays.

The inpatient unit is located directly adjacent to the general hospital. EMR system: Epic.

Requirements

• Board certification in Psychiatry (preferred/required).
• Strong inpatient psychiatry experience.
• Comfortable treating both adult and adolescent patients.
• Willingness to provide ER and general hospital consultation coverage.
• Availability for the full 7-day rotation and orientation requirements.
