Our client is a family-oriented practice group that provides full-service vision care for children and adults, offering a part-time opportunity for an Optometrist. Our friendly, comfortable, and professional offices are located inside select retail locations.

About the role

This position provides Saturday and/or Sunday coverage in a fast-paced environment where you can make a difference in patients' lives.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision tests
• Diagnose defects of the eye, such as myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma
• Provide personalized temporary and permanent solutions to visual impairments based on each patient’s specific case and medical history
• Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, and contact lenses
• Advise patients on proper eye care techniques
• Keep updated and accurate medical records for all patients
• Advise patients on how to use and maintain their contact lenses
• Co-manage patients with local Ophthalmologists

Requirements

• Detail-oriented with the ability to treat patients with kindness and discretion, from young children to the elderly
• Ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and injuries
