Core Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor PREA compliance across JCFs to ensure strict adherence to federal regulations and agency standards.
- Conduct routine site visits to all JCF facilities.
- Lead vulnerability assessments and provide post-incident support to facilities.
- Aid in the preparation for PREA reaccreditation audits and provide support during audits.
Quality Assurance and Auditing
- Conduct comprehensive quality assurance for JCFs including participating as a core member of internal management audits.
- Develop and implement QA tools to track and monitor PREA incidents and investigations, ensuring compliance with DYS policies and federal regulations.
- Analyze and evaluate current procedures and policies, identifying problem areas and recommending actionable solutions.
- Monitor and support plans of action and corrective strategies across facilities.
Reporting and Communication
- Generate confidential reports for the PREA Administrator/Deputy Director and other managing officers.
- Prepare timely site visit and audit reports, providing specific written feedback on deficiencies.
- Hold exit conferences with site managers.
- Aid sites in developing corrective action plans.
- Act as a liaison with community service providers.
Training and Consultation
- Provide onsite and hybrid technical consultative assistance to service providers and agency personnel.
- Organize and provide training on PREA standards, sexual assault, abuse, harassment, and other related topics as requested.
Qualifications
- Completion of an undergraduate core program in social or behavioral science, pre-medicine or public or business administration or accounting; and 18 months of experience in delivery of human services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider or review of such services for cost containment/budget planning; and 6 months of experience in supervisory principles/techniques.
- Or completion of a graduate core program in social or behavioral science, medicine-related field or public or business administration or accounting; and 12 months of experience in delivery of human services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider or review of such services for cost containment/budget planning; and 6 months of experience in supervisory principles/techniques.
- Note: Training in business or public administration or accounting & experience in review of services for cost containment/budgeting only pertains to medical cost containment program administrator positions.
- Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
