Essential Functions

  • Affords assistance with recruitment and interview processes.
  • Monitors candidate statuses in HRIS and sends follow-up letters after the recruiting process concludes.
  • Maintains updated knowledge of HR laws impacting the business.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as needed.
  • Prepares new employee files.
  • Supports mandatory HR training as per legal requirements, particularly Sexual Harassment Prevention Training.
  • Assists in creating and updating job descriptions.
  • Posts jobs to the company's website and recruitment sites.
  • Collaborates with payroll, accounting, legal, and other internal departments to exchange necessary data.
  • Responds to inquiries about policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Maintains yearly Section 125 plan administration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

A professional office environment. Requires competency in using standard office equipment and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with ADP is preferable.

Classification/Expected Hours of Employment

This position is a full-time role, exempt from minimum wage and overtime pay requirements under federal and all applicable state or local laws. Workdays are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Additional work may be required outside of these hours for training or other employee-related tasks. Travel may be needed for in-person training with employees throughout the organization.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of human resources experience required.
  • Knowledge of human resources practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Ability to facilitate training in various formats.
  • Intermediate computer and software skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
