Java Technical Lead

About the role

Coordinate with the Onsite Tech Lead to refine user stories for new requirements from the product team and prioritize them. Participate in story point estimation before sprint planning and finalize user stories during PI/Sprint planning with the Scrum Master. Provide technical guidance to the team, resolve complex issues, and complete code reviews for user stories. Coordinate with EJ Team Leads, software leads, and Business Analysts for required sign-offs while adhering to agreed SLAs and KPIs for all tickets worked by the team.

Java Support responsibilities include debugging, troubleshooting, developing solutions, creating RCAs, application monitoring, and operational activities.

Responsibilities

• Refine and prioritize user stories for new requirements
• Complete story point estimation before sprint planning
• Finalize user stories during PI/Sprint planning with the Scrum Master
• Work on user stories and provide technical guidance to the team
• Resolve complex technical issues
• Complete code reviews for user stories worked by the team
• Coordinate with EJ Team Leads, software leads, and Business Analysts for sign-offs
• Adhere to SLAs and KPIs for all tickets worked by the team
• Debug, troubleshoot, and develop solutions for Java support
• Create Root Cause Analyses (RCAs)
• Perform application monitoring and operational activities

Requirements

• Good understanding of Java, J2EE, Spring Boot/Spring Framework, REST API, and Azure Cloud
• Experience as a Tech Lead in L3 engagements
• Exposure to Application Support & Maintenance
• Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow
• Good understanding of ITIL
• Basic shell scripting knowledge
• Experience writing SQL/Functions/Procedures in transactional database systems such as Oracle or SQL Server
• Capital Markets domain knowledge (preferred)

Qualifications

• Full-stack Java Enterprise experience
• 5-8 years of relevant experience

Pay

Expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000. Final compensation will depend on geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
