We are a family-owned, essential business looking for an experienced logistics professional to join our growing team in San Diego. This is a remote position.
About the role
Assist our Government Logistics Department with GSA agencies moving household goods and personal effects worldwide. You will act as the main point of contact for customers, coordinating door-to-door logistics and ensuring smooth, compliant shipments.
Responsibilities
- Assign approved origin agents to pack shipments in the mainland USA or around the world
- Coordinate door-to-door logistics for household goods shipments, including pickup, packing, transportation (ocean & air freight), storage, and delivery
- Provide updates and address customer questions or concerns throughout the move process
- Book air & ocean transportation using cost analysis
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipment documentation (estimates, inventories, ocean bills of lading, AWBs, delivery receipts, etc.)
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays, damages, or service issues
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations
- Track shipment costs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Two (2) years’+ of experience in logistics, transportation, moving services, or relocation coordination preferred
- Must have ITGBL experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in a networked Windows environment using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Pay
$55,000–$65,000 depending on experience
