About the role

Carex is partnering with a Utilities industry partner to hire a IT - Workstation Analyst. In this role, you will implement, support, and maintain end-user computing technologies across desktop, laptop, mobile, and remote environments. You'll work closely with business users to deliver reliable technology solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and help improve the overall client computing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, support, and maintain client computing technologies across desktop, laptop, mobile, and remote environments.
  • Configure, install, test, deploy, document, monitor, and maintain hardware and software solutions.
  • Partner with business users to understand technology needs, provide technical guidance, and deliver reliable computing services.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for end users.
  • Evaluate requests for new or updated workstation hardware and recommend solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Coordinate and complete desktop move, add, and change requests.
  • Resolve escalated hardware, software, application, and connectivity issues from the Help Desk.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support critical business operations.
  • Assist with IT infrastructure and client computing projects focused on technology upgrades and process improvements.
  • Plan and implement hardware refreshes while proactively identifying risks and contingency plans.
  • Monitor and maintain client hardware inventory.
  • Translate customer requirements into Agile tasks and user stories while collaborating effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve support processes, efficiency, and user experience.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of progressively responsible experience supporting PCs in a networked environment.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Windows operating systems and standard desktop software.
  • Hands-on experience with imaging technologies, profile migration, PC hardware, peripherals, and desktop troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of software deployment and distribution concepts.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including LAN environments, TCP/IP, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routers, and related technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve low- to moderate-complexity technical issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service while supporting users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
  • Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams and Agile environments.

  • Ability to thrive in a diverse and collaborative work environment.

Additional Information

This is a W2 only position, and the candidate must be authorized to work in the US (both now and in the future).
