Responsibilities
- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
- Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
- Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and system groups.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Required certification in A+, with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network +, Security +, MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred.
- Must be able to travel to our offices within and outside of DFW Metroplex.
- Education: An Associates’ Degree or equivalent and 4 + years of experience in the IT or related field.
- Experience: 4 + years of IT, or related field, experience.
- Additional Qualifications: Required certification in A+, with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network +, Security +, MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred.
- For Level II Status: Intermediate experience (4+ years’ experience) and/or acting more independently.
- Takes on some additional duties to assist the office.
- Strong and consistent performer.
- Performance Requirements: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient technical (computer) skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Self-motivated with initiative.
- Strong sense of ethics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including carrying this amount of weight up flights of stairs.
