IT Technician II (31608)

Responsibilities

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
• Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and system groups.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• Required certification in A+, with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network +, Security +, MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred.
• Must be able to travel to our offices within and outside of DFW Metroplex.
• Education: An Associates’ Degree or equivalent and 4 + years of experience in the IT or related field.
• Experience: 4 + years of IT, or related field, experience.
• Additional Qualifications: Required certification in A+, with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network +, Security +, MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred.

Requirements

• For Level II Status: Intermediate experience (4+ years’ experience) and/or acting more independently.
• Takes on some additional duties to assist the office.
• Strong and consistent performer.
• Performance Requirements: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient technical (computer) skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Self-motivated with initiative.
• Strong sense of ethics.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including carrying this amount of weight up flights of stairs.
