Principal Responsibilities
- Administer and manage large physical and virtual Microsoft Windows environment, including file servers, print servers, web servers, Nextgen EHR, Office 365, and other servers.
- Manage Active Directory objects including users, groups, and GPOs.
- Deploy and update Nextgen EHR servers, EDR, Care Sentry, Welligent, Casewatch, and apply latest patches.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system issues.
- Install and manage software for anti-virus, backup, monitoring, and other required Microsoft, Nextgen EHR, or third party applications.
- Manage the helpdesk support service, which includes prioritizing, delegating, fulfilling the support requests, providing directions, and getting outside assistance/resources.
- Lead / supervise a team of Help Desk / EHR Technician personnel.
- Develop, maintain, and follow systems policies, procedures, documentations, and diagrams.
- Maintain, test, and execute plans for disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Support for NextGen EHR/EPM/ICS and related systems.
- Provide consultation and technical guidance to end users and IT Technician.
- Represent the team during meetings, discussions, and projects.
- Ensure that all system changes are documented and communicated to the appropriate users and stakeholders.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of strategic plans for enhancing and supporting the health system’s IT environment.
- Manage project deliverables and system performance to meet service level agreements.
- Collaborate effectively with IT team members, management, and the user community.
- Communicate updates on the status of incidents, changes, requests, and deliverables.
- Provide day-to-day oversight of the environment, with a focus on continuous service improvement; respond to monitoring alerts and identify areas which could be improved.
- Requires travel from site to site and light lifting.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in related field or equivalent experience as an IT Systems Administrator.
- 3+ years experience in Windows server system administration.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2012 /2016 , Windows 7, 8, and 10.
- Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCITP, MCSE) are a strong plus.
- Excellent understanding of storage, network, and hardware technologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and proven strong analytical/trouble shooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral, interpersonal, organizational skills, and problem solving ability to work with non-technical end users.
- Experience within a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of Office 365 / Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Vision, Access, etc) is desired.
