IT System Administrator
About the role
We're looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join our team and help support the technology that keeps our office, manufacturing, warehouse, and business operations running smoothly. In this role, you'll work across a diverse technology environment, providing hands-on support for employee workstations, mobile devices, Microsoft 365, network connectivity, business applications, and more. Responsibilities
- Deliver end-user IT support by resolving help desk requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining professional communication with employees.
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot workstations, mobile devices, peripherals, Microsoft 365 applications, endpoint management tools, and business software in accordance with IT standards.
- Administer user accounts, security groups, shared resources, device compliance, application deployments, and access requests across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
- Perform intermediate network, telecommunications, and security support, including troubleshooting connectivity, VPNs, Wi-Fi, Teams phones, conferencing systems, and adherence to cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Independently manage support priorities, maintain detailed documentation and asset records, lead onboarding/offboarding activities, contribute to IT projects, and escalate business-critical issues with clear recommendations and technical findings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Support and troubleshoot a wide range of end-user technologies, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, conference room equipment, and other business-critical hardware.
- Utilize and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, web browsers, and common business applications.
- Manage user accounts, security groups, shared mailboxes, and access requests through Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 administration tools.
- Understand and troubleshoot fundamental networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPNs, switches, and connectivity issues.
- Apply networking knowledge including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPNs, switches, VLANs, cabling, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Use ticketing systems, remote support tools, asset management platforms, and technical documentation to deliver efficient IT support and maintain accurate records.
- Follow cybersecurity best practices, including phishing awareness, endpoint protection, software patching, least-privilege access, and data security principles.
- Possess relevant education, technical training, certifications, or up to three years of IT support experience, with exposure to Windows, Microsoft 365, and end-user technologies.
- Deliver excellent customer service by communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical users in a professional and respectful manner.
- Assist with projects by coordinating with vendors, testing solutions, assessing risks, implementing changes, and communicating progress to stakeholders and leadership.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, attention to detail, prioritization, and documentation skills while troubleshooting technical issues.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team while maintaining a willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
