Posimech is a High-Mix/Low-Volume Precision Machine Shop with over 45 years of continuous operation. We are a top-performing supplier supporting major military aircraft platforms, ground-support systems, Boeing, Airbus, and emerging SpaceX-related programs. We are working towards CMMC and advancing our Cybersecurity systems.

About the role

As the IT Support Technician you serve as the primary on-site support resource to keep our software up-to-date, our server and network secure, and all our computers and computer-supported equipment running. This role requires a mix of technical experience, problem-solving skills, and good communication skills. This is a part-time position—20 to 30 hours per week. Full-time may be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to IT support requests from staff, providing technical support and training as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Maintain a log of all issues and related resolutions.
  • Install, configure, and update hardware and software systems.
  • Configure user accounts, password resets, and set up new computers as necessary.
  • Participate in IT projects, working with management and outside support as necessary to achieve goals.
  • Identify recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Follow all company cybersecurity, ITAR, CUI, and data protection policies.
  • Set up/maintain firewalls, run data backups, and protect company files from security threats.
  • Must be willing and able to work rare evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • One to three years of relevant IT support, desktop support, or help desk experience.
  • Experience working in ITAR, CMMC, CUI, NIST 800-171, or other regulated environments preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Database Management, Microsoft Office, Windows computers, hardware, software, and basic networking.
  • Good judgment, organization, documentation, and follow-through.
  • Cybersecurity and CAD skills a plus.
  • Effective communication skills, including verbal, written, and active listening.
  • U.S. Person status (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) is required due to defense/ITAR regulations.

Schedule
