IT Support Specialist

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Computer related field of study with 1-3 years’ work experience in IT field.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull/move items up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the ability to travel and to work extended hours as needed.
• Must be able to meet deadlines.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Essential Functions

• Complete work requirements in the above functional areas, at all facilities operated by The Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence.
• Recommend to supervisor regarding preventative maintenance, installation of equipment, equipment purchase and replacement.
• Review and recommend as appropriate new technologies.
• Stay on top of industry standards.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors while purchasing supplies, materials, services, and equipment.
• Undertake special assignments and other duties as assigned by the CIO.
• Assist in the development of inventory, materials, supplies, and equipment to accomplish duties.
• Perform duties as the IT Manager in the event of their absence.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete all required in-services.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk or hear.
