IT Support Engineer
Responsibilities
Provide escalation support to helpdesk for local business unit support.
Work closely with the rest of the support staff on-site for the business unit support.
Assist system team with organizing the monitoring system to ensure all servers/applications are included and monitored.
Alert monitoring using our monitoring tools to keep our team’s finger on the pulse and assist us with providing speedy response to systems outages.
Deploy, test, maintain and troubleshoot server equipment both physical and virtual with the assistance of the other members of the systems team.
Create, maintain, and update diagrams/documentation of evolving systems environment and operational procedures with assistance from the systems team.
Interface and communicate with customers on support requests / follow through to completion and provide updates through helpdesk application.
Learn about other IT groups and business units within Hunting to work together on the common goal of keeping the business operational.
Travel to offices in-region from time to time for project work is possible.
Requirements
Experience with Windows Server 2016/2022/2025 administration
Experience with VMware vCenter administration and ESXi deployment
Minimum of 3 years related experience in modern data center technologies
Deep knowledge in the following technologies: UCS Blade Servers or other physical server experience, Storage Infrastructure (HPE Nimble, Pure), Cohesity Backup Support, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop, Virtual Networking within vSphere, Microsoft Active Directory Domain Forest Administration, DNS Administration, GPO Administration
Familiarity with ManageEngine ServiceDesk for incident management
Demonstrated behaviors with accountability and taking ownership
Good team player, willing to share knowledge with the team
Strong desire to learn and grow your skill
Practical experience with remote monitoring tools
Excellent communication skills, writing skills, problem solving skills
Extremely efficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Visio, etc.
Positive attitude, patience and excellent customer service skills
Qualifications
Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, Math, Engineering or Business Administration plus 1 year information systems experience – OR – a bachelor’s degree plus 3 years information systems experience, reflecting increasing levels of experience – OR – 6 years of information systems experience including a high school diploma or GED reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Skills
Hands-on cross-training by our systems engineers will increase the knowledge and experience of the employee as they grow familiar with our environment and standards.

Monday to Friday, day schedule, 8 or more hours per day
Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary for emergency outages
