IT Support Engineer

About the role

Provide first/second-line technical support to employees for hardware, software, network, and system problems, either in person, over the phone, or via remote access.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues.
• Manage hardware and equipment: set up, configure, and issue laptops/desktops, peripherals, and other IT equipment to new and existing employees; maintain an inventory of company IT assets.
• Handle software installation and access: install, update, and license software applications; manage user accounts, email setup, and access permissions (e.g., Active Directory, VPN, system logins).
• Maintain IT infrastructure: monitor and maintain office network, servers, printers, and other systems to ensure smooth day-to-day operations; escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors when needed.
• Support onboarding/offboarding and documentation: prepare and configure devices for new joiners, retrieve and wipe equipment from exiting employees, and maintain records/tickets of issues resolved using a helpdesk/ticketing system.
