About the role

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Full-Time Supervisory IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) to work at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) - 75th Air Base Wing, on Hill AFB in Layton, UT. This position offers a rewarding career with benefits.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, sustain, troubleshoot, and repair standard voice, data, video network, and cryptographic client devices.
• Manage client user accounts, handle hardware and software, and provide client-level information technology support functions.
• Configure and manage software operating systems and applications.
• Provide service to end-users for the operation and restoration of information systems.
• Report and execute corrective actions for security incidents.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Obtain & maintain a Security clearance
• May be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft
• This is a cybersecurity position; must attain appropriate DoD approved cybersecurity baseline certificate(s) within six months of filling position IAW DoD 8570.01-M.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of a wide range of IT principles and systems analysis concepts and techniques.
• Knowledge of customers’ business processes and operations to anticipate and refine functional requirements.
• Knowledge of concepts and principles of sequencing actions, procurement techniques and requirements, and coordination requirements involved in project controls.
• Knowledge of design tools, methods, and techniques as well as life cycle management concepts, cost benefit analysis, system architecture, integration techniques, and testing methods.
• Ability to maintain an up-to-date awareness of technological advances, apply internet technologies to analyze networks and the related security aspects, and predict how management can meet future requirements.
