IT SPECIALIST
JOB SUMMARY
The IT Specialist role is to ensure optimal operation of the facility’s IT systems. This includes installing, configuring and supporting hardware and software components so that end users can accomplish business tasks. Problem resolution involves the use of department request tracking system and where required this individual will give in-person, hands-on assistance and training to end users. In addition to end user support, he/she will be involved in the implementation of new IT systems and maintenance of existing IT infrastructure systems as assigned. The IT Specialist will be a member of a cross-functional technical team responsible for maintaining all aspects of a 24x7 IT Infrastructure including network, servers, data centers, near 100% system availability, desktop and printer support, among other technical duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a business degree desirable. 2-year degree may be substituted if in combination with 4 or more years of progressively more advanced experience. Further experience in the field may be substituted for a formal degree.
- 3 or more years of experience in positions relating to computer hardware and software support.
- Must possess a valid Iowa driver’s license and meet satisfactory motor vehicle record requirements.
- Must maintain and provide proof of his/her own auto insurance policy.

- Creative and efficient problem solving that delivers robust and long-term solutions on time.
- Knowledge of health care field preferred.
