IT Specialist

Aleknagik Technology, LLC (ATL) is seeking an IT Specialist to support both NIPR and SIPR desktop devices and mobile phones for HQ, ASC onsite at Rock Island Arsenal. Services may extend to customers located CONUS/OCONUS, including those working onsite and telework.

Responsibilities

• Provide above-baseline service for desktop devices and mobile phones, including VIP-level assistance and after-hours support as needed.
• Manage hardware assets in close coordination with government staff and maintain appropriate security controls over software and hardware.
• Analyze software and hardware requirements, patch devices in accordance with IAVAs, and report on compliance.
• Accurately record daily tasks and assignments for metric gathering on task orders.
• Coordinate updates of cell service hardware and software applications.
• Develop procedures and training materials for customers and internal use.
• Design, develop, and maintain various system applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT-related problems, including unique systems (e.g., Janus, machines with external hard drives, x-ray viewers, Eubank scanners) and devices (e.g., PCA photo printer, handheld scanners, KVM, 49" monitors, docking stations).
• Set up and support KVMs for users with SIPR and NIPR (Ops Center & KG175s).
• Package and mail equipment for remote users, both government and contract personnel.
• Assist remote users with troubleshooting, including LCR distribution (setup OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, test VPN, and issue power supply).
• Collect equipment turn-ins: complete paperwork, remove/destroy hard drives, scan equipment received, and send scans to G4 for TI.
• Provide off-site LARs support, including handing off unique BIOS passwords and issuing new or LCR equipment (including shipping).
• Input and approve all HQ ASC TCOs.
• Maintain inventory of all devices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent and five (5) years of progressively complex IT and/or computer support experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Recommended two (2) years of experience in an IT-related field.
• CompTIA Security+ certification (required for DoD 8570.01-m IAT II position and must be obtained prior to starting work on contract).
• Ability to work in a secure environment and adhere to security protocols.
• Strong problem research and resolution skills, with high attention to detail and equipment accountability.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software, activate/deactivate/suspend service on devices, and maintain device security.
• Experience working independently, multitasking, prioritizing projects, and meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong customer service orientation and experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Proactive approach to staying updated on the latest technology trends.

Security Clearance

The candidate must be subject to a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information by possessing or obtaining and maintaining a U.S. Secret Security Clearance. An Interim Secret Clearance is required prior to confirmed full-time employment. Failure to obtain or maintain a Secret Clearance will result in release from the company.

Physical Requirements

The position requires frequent walking, occasional equipment moves, and configurations.
