IT Security Supervisor - Information Technology
About the role
The IT Security Supervisor oversees the daily activities of the IT Security Team, developing and implementing security controls and services to mitigate risks. They also manage the monitoring of computer networks and respond to security breaches, ensuring timely reporting to management. Additionally, they provide cybersecurity training and collaborate with IT Managers on all cybersecurity matters.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the IT Security Team
- Develops and implements security controls and services
- Daily monitoring of computer networks and investigation of security breaches
- Timely reporting of security-related systems and events to management
- Provides cybersecurity education and awareness training to County employees
- Collaborates with IT Security Manager and other IT Managers on cybersecurity issues
- On-call 24/7 for IT support issues
- Participates in emergency management activities during disasters
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in cybersecurity related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 7 years of job-related experience, including 5 years of supervisory/management experience
- Thorough knowledge of network security, web application security, mobile device security, anti-virus, anti-malware, two-factor authentication, data loss prevention, backup and storage, identity and access management, encryption, email security, Microsoft 365, SCCM, Endpoint protection, Firewalls, VPNs, Single Sign-on, Active Directory, access control, patch management, incident response, application security, and vulnerability assessment
- Successful completion of a CJIS background check prior to hire

Skills
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and technologies is required.

Pay
$56.85 - $71.06 hourly based on qualifications
