IT Operations Manager – Volunteer Leadership Role

The Role

This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the organization’s technology environment. You will oversee systems, support operations, and ensure infrastructure is stable, secure, and scalable. You are not just fixing issues. You are building reliable operations that prevent them.

This role operates at the intersection of IT support, infrastructure, and operational efficiency, ensuring the organization can function without disruption.

Qualifications

Required:

• 4–6 years of experience in:
• IT operations
• Systems administration
• Technical support or infrastructure roles
• Strong understanding of:
• IT systems and infrastructure
• Support and service delivery processes

PREFERRED:

• Experience with:
• Cloud platforms
• Google Workspace or similar systems
• Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
• Experience in remote teams

Commitment

• 10–15 hours per week
• Flexible schedule (with responsiveness to operational needs)
• Participation in IT and cross-functional meetings required
• Fully remote
