Overview
Our client is seeking an IT Help Desk / Litigation Support Specialist to serve as the primary onsite IT resource for a growing Dallas office. This role combines hands-on desktop support, end-user support, and litigation technology support while partnering with a larger corporate IT team. The ideal candidate will have prior law firm IT experience and enjoy supporting attorneys, legal staff, and trial teams in both office and courtroom environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, Microsoft 365, network, and user access issues.
- Manage and resolve help desk tickets while delivering excellent customer service.
- Support Active Directory administration, account provisioning, password resets, and permissions management.
- Install, configure, image, and maintain Windows-based workstations and related equipment.
- Support Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Zoom, Webex, VPN, and related technologies.
- Serve as a technology resource for attorneys and staff both onsite and remotely.
- Support trial teams during hearings, arbitrations, mediations, depositions, and court proceedings.
- Set up and troubleshoot trial war rooms, courtroom presentation equipment, and remote trial technology.
- Operate presentation systems and provide audio/visual support during live legal proceedings.
- Assist with technology inventory management, equipment deployment, documentation, and process improvements.
- Coordinate with vendors and corporate IT teams to support office technology initiatives.
Requirements
- Previous IT support experience within a law firm environment required.
- 2+ years of desktop support, help desk, or end-user support experience.
- Experience supporting attorneys, legal professionals, or litigation teams.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft technologies.
- Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Familiarity with Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Zoom, Webex, VPN, and similar collaboration tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote IT teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trial support or litigation technology experience.
- Experience with TrialDirector, OnCue, Sanction, or similar courtroom presentation software.
- Experience with NetDocuments or other legal document management systems.
- Exposure to Citrix, Relativity, eDiscovery platforms, or other legal technology tools.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, or similar credentials.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Pay
$70,000 - $95,000 plus benefits.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday.
- Overtime eligible.
- Occasional after-hours support, trial support, and travel may be required.
