Litigation Support Specialist
About the role
A Litigation Support Specialist at CGS will provide direct assistance to USAO personnel, AUSAs, legal assistants, administrative staff, and other USAO staff. CGS combines motivated, skilled, and creative individuals to innovate government solutions using cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical advice to litigation teams on legal automation options, systems capabilities, and support services.
- Performs information system analysis, development, and installation in support of USAO DMN litigation support activities.
- Supports USAO's Litigation Support Manager in defining and creating case databases for processing ESI, case review, production, organization, and trial presentation.
- Organizes voluminous case information for efficient retrieval through automated means such as processing ESI in common litigation applications.
- OCRing, indexing, and producing documents to and from a database.
- Affirms documents are organized for efficient electronic storage and retrieval by processing ESI, defining deduplication scope, quality control, preparing appropriate indices, defining data file search criteria, and indexing databases in common litigation applications.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the legal process and familiarity with both civil and criminal law at the federal and local level.
- Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, understand legal and factual issues, and subject matter details involved in a case.
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- Full-time, five-day work week.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
