We are seeking a hands-on IT Generalist to join a collaborative IT team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting a wide range of technologies and being a go-to resource for day-to-day IT operations.
Responsibilities
- End-User Support
- Provide day-to-day technical support for desktop, laptop, mobile, and peripheral issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, network, and connectivity problems.
- Serve as a reliable technical resource for employees, ensuring smooth day-to-day technology operations.
- Escalate and coordinate issues with managed service providers and technology vendors when necessary.
- User Onboarding & Account Administration
- Configure and deploy computers, monitors, phones, and other equipment for new employees.
- Set up and manage Windows Active Directory user accounts, security groups, permissions, password resets, and account provisioning/deprovisioning.
- Administer onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring users have appropriate access to systems, applications, and shared resources.
- Maintain accurate user and asset inventory records.
- Software & Systems Support
- Install, configure, update, and support business applications, collaboration tools, and productivity software.
- Assist with software licensing, patching, and general application maintenance.
- Support file shares, printers, email clients, remote access tools, and other common enterprise technologies.
- Coordinate with vendors to maintain and improve technology systems and services.
- IT Operations
- Procure, inventory, and manage IT hardware and related equipment.
- Document IT procedures, onboarding checklists, and support processes.
- Assist with technology refresh initiatives, workstation deployments, and office IT projects.
- Support a variety of IT systems, hardware platforms, and end-user technologies.
- Occasional travel to regional office locations may be required.
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of experience in an IT support, desktop support, or IT generalist role.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Active Directory administration, including user setup, permissions, and group management.
- Experience with employee onboarding/offboarding, workstation imaging or deployment, and general software setup and support.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware, software, and basic networking issues.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration and common business productivity tools.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service-oriented mindset.
- Friendly, approachable, and collaborative attitude with a willingness to assist across a broad range of IT needs.
