About the role
This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to lead the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of Epic system applications. As a senior member of the IT team, you will collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to optimize workflows, support system upgrades, and deliver solutions that improve patient care and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, test, and maintain Epic applications
- Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to optimize workflows
- Support system upgrades and deliver solutions that improve patient care and operational efficiency
- Lead projects, manage change, and support system upgrades
- Troubleshoot interfaces and resolve application issues
- Mentor and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing, configuring, testing, and maintaining Epic applications
- Epic Professional Billing Certification (Required)
- Strong knowledge of clinical and business workflows
- Expertise in system analysis, design, and problem resolution
- Proficiency in developing and executing testing scripts
- Ability to lead projects, manage change, and support system upgrades
- Experience troubleshooting interfaces and resolving application issues
- Excellent mentoring and communication skills
Nice to have
- Healthcare-related IT experience (2+ years preferred)
- Additional certifications in healthcare IT or project management
- Experience in developing end-user training materials and delivering training
- Familiarity with interfacing and transaction error analysis
Preferred Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Healthcare, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive Epic application experience, with at least 2 years in a healthcare setting
Other Requirements
- Flexibility to support off-hours and participate in an on-call rotation
- Strong documentation skills and adherence to change control protocols
- Able to work independently and lead project teams
