About the role

With over 40 years of experience, DCCA provides a broad range of IT services, helping organizations feel confident in their IT infrastructure. As an IT / Desktop Services Specialist, you will support Windows and Linux desktop and laptop systems, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral hardware in an enterprise environment.

Candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance to be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier I, II, and III technical support for Windows and Linux desktop and laptop systems, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral hardware.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows and Linux operating system issues, Microsoft 365, Office applications, browsers, VPN, and common enterprise software issues.
  • Install, configure, image, deploy, maintain, and upgrade Windows and Linux desktop and laptop computers.
  • Perform software installations, updates, patch management, and operating system maintenance for Windows and Linux environments.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Active Directory and Linux authentication services, including user accounts, permissions, security groups, and access controls.
  • Support enterprise endpoint management solutions and Linux system administration tools where applicable.
  • Collaborate with Windows, Linux, server, network, cybersecurity, and cloud teams to resolve cross-functional technical issues.

Tier II Expectations

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of Windows and Linux operating systems, enterprise applications, network connectivity, and endpoint management solutions.
  • Support Windows and Linux workstation imaging, deployments, configuration management, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Mentor Tier I technicians and assist with incident resolution.

Tier III Expectations

  • Resolve complex Windows and Linux operating system issues requiring advanced diagnostic skills.
  • Perform root cause analysis, system optimization, performance tuning, and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Support enterprise Windows and Linux infrastructure projects, operating system upgrades, automation efforts, and process improvements.
  • Develop technical documentation and serve as the primary technical escalation resource for desktop support teams.

Requirements

  • 4–25 years of experience in IT or related field.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience providing desktop support in an enterprise environment.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Windows 10/11
    • Microsoft 365
    • Active Directory
    • TCP/IP networking
    • DNS/DHCP
    • VPN technologies
    • Printer and peripheral support
    • Hardware diagnostics and repair
  • Experience using enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and transport computer equipment up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to crawl under desks, install hardware, and work in server rooms or office environments as needed.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, or other endpoint management platforms.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting or automation.
  • Experience supporting Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Experience in government, DoD, healthcare, financial, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices.

  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Foundation

Pay

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $74,000 – $236,000. The final salary will be determined based on various factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
