Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join a well-established nonprofit organization serving the senior healthcare community in Detroit. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused IT professional who enjoys supporting end users in a collaborative environment while making a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for end-user technical support requests.
- Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 desktops, laptops, hardware, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Prepare, image, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
- Perform onboarding and offboarding tasks, including user account administration and password resets.
- Aid with Microsoft 365 administration, mailbox access, and group memberships.
- Cook up hardware repairs with vendors and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Follow security best practices and support compliance within a HIPAA-regulated environment.
- Escalate complex technical issues when appropriate and maintain thorough documentation of support activities.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of IT Support, Help Desk, or Desktop Support experience.
- Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments.
- Strong Microsoft 365 troubleshooting experience.
- Excellent hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
- Security-minded approach with cybersecurity awareness.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Information
- 100% onsite in Detroit, MI.
- Standard business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Very minimal local travel, if any.
- Contract position expected to begin ASAP with a strong possibility of extension based on business needs.
