About the role

The Washington State Auditor's Office is seeking a Customer Support Specialist at the Entry Level for Team Client Services. This position is located in Thurston County, Olympia, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, email, or through our ticketing system
  • Maintain a high level of courteous customer service at all times
  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in the agency issue tracking system
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for agency technology assets

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related field, or one year as an Information Technology Systems Specialist 2 or equivalent
  • One (1) year experience providing technical and customer support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field. Two (2) years of experience providing technical and customer support may be accepted in lieu of the educational requirement
  • Achievement of accountability, communication and customer focus, leadership, judgment, analysis, adaptability/flexibility, and results orientation/initiative
